People in Health Summit

The People in Health Summit, 22-23 May 2014, is the premier networking event for health professionals and those involved in the education, training and development of our health workforce.
Held over two days at Melbourne’s iconic MCG, the People in Health Summit will showcase best practice in health workforce initiatives and explore issues and opportunities for learning and development across all health professions, and at all stages of a health career.

Concurrent abstract sessions each day will showcase highly-developed local approaches and innovative thinking by stakeholders on the education, training and development of the whole Victorian workforce.
The People in Health Summit also provides attendees with a platform to contribute to the strategic implementation of the Victorian’s Government’s People in Health initiative, and assist with identifying the key priorities that will help inform its future direction.

People in Health Awards
The inaugural People in Health Awards, to be held as a gala dinner event on the evening of 22 May 2014, will recognise excellence in health education, training and development across Victoria. It is a must-attend event for anyone interested in health workforce development and is a perfect complement for those attending the People in Health Summit.
Hosted by Dr Sally Cockburn at the remarkable Melbourne Museum, the event will recognise the exceptional achievements of organisations and individuals in country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne, and will highlight Aboriginal health, partnerships and community.
